    Frequently Asked Questions

1.
 Q. Cool idea for a software program; however, does it really eliminate the need for typing?
 A. The individual that created this program is a dentist.  He found that typing clinical notes in his office was way too time consuming.  He also despised staying after work to put notes into a computer, and to be honest he’s not the best typist.  Once he created this program, and started using it in his own practice, he virtually eliminated typing.  The way he did this was by creating his own buttons for each clinical situation as it presented itself.  As patients would come into his office presenting new clinical situations for which he had not created a button on the toolbar, he would simply make a note of it, and later add that button to the toolbar.  After doing this for a while, he soon found that 99% of the problems patient’s presented with already had a button on the toolbar.  Today he no longer types his clinical notes.

2.
 Q. Under what computer Operating Systems does EasyNotesPro work?
 A. Currently, EasyNotesPro works either under Windows 2000 or Windows XP.  We currently do not have a version that works under Linux; however, should the demand be great enough for EasyNotesPro to operate under a Linux environment, we would seriously consider creating our product for that environment as well.

Q. I noticed that the Icons for the program are all for dentistry.  Does the program only work for dentistry, or can I use this program in another health care field?
 A. We originally created EasyNotesPro for dentists since a dentist created the concept, and the icons that are included in the program are specialized for dentistry.  However, once we began developing EasyNotesPro we realized that our program would be able to work for any other health care field, not just dentistry.  In order to change EasyNotesPro into a software product geared for another health care field, we only need to change the icon library images so that the images are tailored to the specific health care field you desire; i.e.: ophthalmology, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology. If you are interested in having us do this for you, please contact us via email.  We can accomplish this in a very short amount of time.

4.
 Q. I noticed that there are only two default toolbars that come with the program, a dentist toolbar and a hygienist toolbar.  Are there other choices of pre-made default toolbars that come with the program?
 A. At the moment, there are no other default toolbars that come with the program.  If you are interested in creating a toolbar for your career field, please contact us via email and we will be glad to assist you in accomplishing this.

5.
 Q. I’m not in the health care field, but I like the idea of your program and would like to try it out in a different market.  Does EasyNotesPro allow me to do this?
 A. Yes, in order to change EasyNotesPro into a software product geared specifically for another market other than health care, we would only need to create a new library of icon images geared specifically for that market.  Once a new icon library is created, you would have a software product specifically geared to your market.  If you are interested in having us do this for you, please contact us by email.  We can accomplish this in a very short amount of time.

6.
 Q. My current office software already writes a standardized clinical note, once the note is written, I access the text and then edit and change any part of the script that needs modifying.  Does your program replace my current software capability?
 A. Most practice management programs have the capability to write a standardized note for a particular procedure, once that procedure is completed.  Our software does require you to click on a button to have it write a note.  Where our software really excels, is by allowing you to write notes in the “SOAP” format (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan).  You could use our software to describe the events around the procedure, and you can use your software to put in a note on the work you actually completed.  In other words, anytime you have a note that contains some sort of variable, you would want to use EasyNotesPro.  That way, you could still use your software to record what procedure was completed (MOD Amalgam), but you can use our software to describe which tooth, how diagnosed, anesthetic used, how much anesthetic, patient’s acceptance of plan, etc.

7.
 Q. I have tried your program for the 45-day trial period, and I find that it doesn’t write notes into my current office software, what’s the problem?
 A. One of two situations might be happening.  You may not have a “true” windows program.  Some programs that look like Windows programs are actually old MSDOS programs that have a “veneer” look to them to make them appear to be a Windows program.  (We had one doctor who used our program and this was the case; however, we were able to rectify her problem).  If this is true, we can still achieve a good end result and make EasyNotesPro write notes to your clinical note software.  Contact us via email and we can work with you on this matter.  The second situation that might cause our program to not write clinical notes into your current office software is simple.  We have built into our software a list of other software into which our program can write patient clinical notes.  We may not have added your software to that list yet.  Please contact us and we can quickly walk you through how to solve that problem.

8.
 Q. I noticed a resynchronize feature on the toolbar drop down menu.  This isn’t explained in the website video tutorials.  Exactly what does this feature do?
 A. Resynchronization allows you to make changes to each and every dialog box in the dialog box library, or the “dialog repository”.  This is where the end-user creates all of the various dialog boxes they intend to use in creating their own “pop-up” dialog question screens, and adds them to the list.  Once added to the list, the user may want to go back later and add another answer choice to a specific dialog box.   In order to have that additional answer choice added onto each button using that specific dialog box throughout the entire toolbar, the user could simply do this by running the Resynchronization feature.  This feature will go through each toolbar button, find each occurrence of the dialog box just edited, and add your additional choice automatically.

9.
 Q. I noticed that all of the dialog boxes in the program only allow one answer choice to be selected as an answer.  Is there any way to select multiple answer choices or create a dialog box with this capability?
 A. At the present time we do not have the ability to select multiple answer choices.  We do, however, plan to eventually implement this option in a future release of EasyNotesPro.

10.
 Q. I have tried your program and I really like the concept, is their any way that I could create a toolbar for other individuals in my field and sell the toolbar to them?
 A. It sounds like you may be interested in becoming one of our resellers.  If so, please contact us via email and we will be glad to discuss your interest further.
